Plant lovers will have a treat in late September as the team at Tamborine Mountain Regional Botanic Gardens opens the Bobby White potting pavilion for a massive plant sale.
The offerings include more of the incredibly popular bat plants, some cream clivias, bare-rooted plants and much more on Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24, coinciding with the Springtime on the Mountain festival.
Head Potty Potter Bobby White said: “We have something for every gardener, whether you have a balcony or acreage. Our sale doors open from 8am to 2pm on both days.
“We have plenty of Mexican scarlet plume euphorbia fulgens, a range of succulents and two types of forget-me-nots,” said Bobby. “
“We have also prepared several trays of Asian lycoris bulbs going out at a special low price.”
As well as the giant plant sale, visitors can enjoy a juicy sausage sizzle.
A special treat for children and the young at heart will await in the Sooty Owl Creekside Trail with activities and exciting rewards on offer from 10am until 2pm each day.
Bobby said: “The Botanic Gardens are a blaze of colour during Spring. It is an exciting time of year and our team of volunteers has been working especially hard to ensure the entire site is putting on its best display.
“Visitors are most welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy the environment.”
