The Potty Potters group at the Tamborine Mountain Regional Botanic Gardens is preparing a special display of plants ready for sale during the National Botanic Gardens Day in the gardens on Saturday, May 23.
National Botanic Gardens Day is organised through Botanic Gardens Australia and New Zealand (BGANZ), an umbrella organisation representing more than 100 botanic gardens across Australasia.

Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens Potty Potter Jan Collis said: “We hope that everyone on the Mountain will join us in this special celebration.
“We have colourful coleus, hippeastrum, a variety of succulents and bromeliads as well as perennials and begonias,” she said. “We even have an assortment of interesting ferns.
“Prices begin at $5.”
The team is looking forward to the event in the 11-hectare site on Forsythia Drive, with a wide range of plants propagated directly from the Tamborine Mountain Regional Botanic Gardens collection.
All funds raised from the plant sales and other events on the day go directly to maintaining and improving the gardens.
The event, from 8am until noon, will also include a sausage sizzle.
