The volunteer team at Tamborine Mountain Regional Botanic Gardens is celebrating the arrival of warmer weather with a two-day plant sale during the last weekend in September, coinciding with the annual Springtime on the Mountain festival.

The plant sale will be open from 8am until noon of Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27 at the Bobby White propagation pavilion at the southern end of the Gardens with prices ranging from $5.

A succulent sausage sizzle will be held close to the plant pavilion on both days.

All proceeds from the sale go to the ongoing development and maintenance of the Botanic Gardens.

Bobby White, leader of the Botanic Gardens’ legendary Potty Potters propagation team, said they have been working hard to prepare a large variety for visitors to select.

“Spring is a great time to be planting and we are delighted to offer a range that are ready to go in the ground right now.

“We do ask that our visitors bring their own bags or boxes to take their purchases to the car park as we simply do not have enough supply.”

Vehicles will be available to help plant enthusiasts to take their prize purchases to their cars and the team can accept cash or card for payment.
