Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens will have a host of activities for visitors during the Springtime on the Mountain festival on September 27 and 28.
Entry tickets for the five private gardens open over the weekend will be on sale at the Botanic Gardens.
“Of course, entry to the Botanic Gardens is free and we are planning a range of opportunities for visitors to enjoy,” said Botanic Gardens President Denby Browning.
A juicy sausage sizzle is certain to tempt taste buds and a coffee van will be on site while the Gardens’ own Potty Potters are preparing a monster plant sale that will include newly-propagated plants, succulents, a range of clivias – many already in flower – and even several trays of “mystery” bulbs.
“Even we don’t know what these bulbs will produce,” said head Potty Potter Bobby White.
The famed orchid house will also be open throughout the two days and the blooms are looking fantastic now.
A special treat for children and the young at heart will await in the Sooty Owl Creekside Trail with activities and exciting rewards on offer.
Buskers will provide musical entertainment in the Gardens throughout the two days.
“Visitors will also be able to find out more about our new Friends affiliate and join in this important venture,” said Denby.
“The Botanic Gardens are a blaze of colour at this time of the year. It is an exciting time of year and our team of volunteers has been working especially hard to ensure the entire site is putting on its best display.
“Visitors are most welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy the environment.”
